Ordering

Here’s everything you need to know about placing an order with us.

What size should I buy?

If you’re not quite sure which size is right for you, refer to our size guides. They’re located underneath the available sizes for each of our products.

Do you have a showroom?

Currently Decorum is exclusively an online boutique.

Our collections are constantly updated as we bring you the most up to date, on trend products - so be sure to check back regularly. 

Our sister company Cp Lighting & Interiors has a showroom in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Paying for your order could not be easier. We accept the following payment methods:

  • American Express
  • PayPal
  • Amazon Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Shop Pay
  • Klarna

We also accept all major debit and credit cards (without extra charges incurred), including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro. Payment can also be made by bank transfer - Please contact us if this is your preferred payment method.

We also offer payment slicing with PayPal, and Klarna Pay in 30 days, as well as PayPal Pay in 3 Instalments.

Are there finance options available?

We offer 0% Finance, pay in 3 instalments via PayPal or pay in 30 days via PayPal too.

Do you hold stock?

We display over 20,000 products on our Decorum Interiors website, and although many popular items are in stock at our various warehouses and available for 24 hour dispatch, we also regularly place stock on backorder with our brand suppliers and manufacturers which then operate on longer lead times. Many of our products are also available for pre-order too - these include new items, and item's which have temporarily went out of stock. 

Delays in this instance will be fully communicated with you, we relay as much information as we are provided by our suppliers and manufactures at the time we receive the information. However, if you require a more specific time frame, please feel free to contact our customer services team before placing your order and they will do their best to find as much information as possible for you.

Where can I obtain more information about a product?

We provide all specifications that we have available on our product page under ‘product description’. If you require additional information or can’t find the information you are looking for, please contact our customer services team who will be happy to help.

We often have additional images of products on our Social Media, please view our Instagram account for tagged photo's and lifestyle images. 

If you'd like to see additional photo's or video's of a specific product, please contact us and we'd be happy to look into this for you.

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it, we change our minds too! Please contact our dispatch by email only at dispatch@decorum-living.com with your DEC order number, name and delivery address as soon as possible to request this, if this item has been dispatched we will be unable to cancel this and you will then need to follow our Returns Guide and return the item at your own cost. 

Made-to-order, bespoke or special order items cannot be cancelled once ordered and are not eligible for return and can not be cancelled.

Are light bulbs included with your light fittings?

Due to government legislation, most light fittings don’t come with light bulbs anymore to encourage the use of LED energy efficient lighting. These are generally available in Warm White (a warm relaxed tone, similar to the colour of a standard light bulb) or Cool White (a cleaner, brighter white colour).

Some of our products do come with light bulbs included, this will be indicated on the product specifications. 

Do you offer a guarantee on your lighting?

Yes, all of our electrical lights come with a minimum 1-year electrical guarantee unless a larger guarantee is stated.

How do I know your site is secure?

Our entire site is secure by way of 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption, which is the Industry Standard for safe online shopping. The small 'padlock icon' to the left of the URL bar at the top of the page confirms the security of our site. In addition, your personal data is totally protected and we never store credit card details. 

What if I find the product for less elsewhere?

Our team of buyers are constantly priced checking our products as we pride ourselves on offering quality products at very competitive prices. If you have a query on the price of our products before the point of purchase, please don't hesitate to contact our dedicated customer services team.  

We, however, reserve the right to:

  • Refuse a price match which would result in financial loss or unacceptable profit margins
  • To limit the quantities of price matches from a single customer
  • Not match trade prices
  • Discontinue our price match promise at any time
  • Decline a price match without any explanation
  • Not price match imitation or copies of products that often use cheaper materials and lack in quality
  • Not match prices from third party, or auction sites such as eBay
  • Not price match outlet, or ex-display products

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information.

How do I return a product?

Please read our full Returns Policy here.

Step 1:

  • When returning an item to us please complete our Return Request Form to request your return.
  • Please read our non-returnable products list (below) before completing your Returns Request Form.
  • We will respond to your Return Request within 48 hours (Monday – Friday).

Step 2:

  • Thoroughly read and follow the Full Returns Policy below.
  • Package your items in outer packaging or an outer box to prevent the product box from being damaged.
  • You must not write on or attach any returns labels onto the product box – outer packaging only.
  • You must only use CLEAR tape to re-seal the product box only.
  • The product box must be returned back to us in its original condition – no damages.
  • Please enclose your WEB order reference number within your approved returns.

Please Note:

  • All orders must be returned to us within 14 days from receipt and at your own cost.
  • All products must not have been used and for lighting not wired or fitted or installed in any way.
  • All products must be returned complete with all parts, fixings, drawers, glass, accessories etc.
  • All product boxes must not be damaged, ripped or written on and must only be sealed with clear tape.

We cannot accept returns where the product box is damaged (including tears from opening), has been sealed using any tape other than clear or has been written on.

If our Returns Policy criteria has not been met once we receive your return, we will be unable to issue a refund your order. You will then need to pay a delivery charge to have your order re-sent back to you, or alternatively you can arrange for your own courier to collect your order from us. Please see our Full Returns Policy.

We strongly recommend sending your order back to us using a tracked and insured delivery service for your own peace of mind.

If the above conditions are not met then we are unfortunately unable to accept your return.

Once we receive your return your item(s) and the above criteria is met we will issue you a refund to your original payment method, Please allow 3-5 working days for the return process and for the refund to arrive back into your account.

Customer Notice: Please do not return products without approval, these will be automatically declined and returned directly back to you.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not ship internationally at present. However, you can certainly place your order and arrange a courier to collect them from us, and deliver them to you. You would first need to contact us via email, informing us that is this what you wish to do. We have successfully delivered to our international customers previously so that's no problem at all!

At present we only ship to UK postcodes. and offer complimentary delivery on orders over £100.00 GBP. T&C's apply.

Please note there is a delivery surcharge to all UK Non-Mainland postcodes, please visit our Delivery Information page for more information or contact our Customer Services team before placing an order.

Some areas such as Central London may require congestion surcharges, and some area's may require additional carriage supplements.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes, we deliver our smaller items to Northern Ireland via our courier service, this incurs a £20.00 shipping charge. We are unable to delivery our Larger Items such a furniture to Northern Ireland, in this instance you can certainly place your order and arrange a courier to collect them from us, and deliver them to you. You would first need to contact us via email, informing us that is this what you wish to do. We have successfully delivered to our Northern Ireland customers previously so that's no problem at all!

Do you deliver to the Republic of Ireland?

We currently do not deliver to the Republic of Ireland?

You can certainly place your order and arrange a courier to collect them from us, and deliver them to you. You would first need to contact us via email, informing us that is this what you wish to do. We have successfully delivered to our Southern Ireland customers previously so that's no problem at all!

Faults & Damages

If something arrives damaged or defective, here’s how we’ll make it right.

What if my delivery arrives damaged?

In the unfortunate event that your purchase(s) are damaged in transit, please firstly refuse to sign for the item and send it back if it is visibly damaged before accepting delivery. If it is only noticeable once opened, please fill out our Report A Fault form or send us an email info@decorum-living.com with photographic evidence within 48 hours. We will then arrange collection and a replacement product or parts with you as swiftly as we can.

Damages & missing parts must be reported within 48 of receipt of delivery.

What if my light is faulty?

In the unfortunate event that your purchase(s) are faulty, please fill out our Report A Fault form or send us an email info@decorum-living.com within 48 hours. We will then arrange collection and a replacement product or parts with you as swiftly as we can.

Faulty items must be reported within 48 of receipt of delivery.

Electrical faults are covered for 12 months from receipt.

Bespoke Items

Here’s what to know before ordering one of our handcrafted, made-to-order items.

Are your made to order & bespoke cushions / bed runners returnable?

Our Bespoke & Made To Order cushions and bed runners are strictly non-returnable and cannot be cancelled once your order has been placed with us. 

We recommend ordering Samples to confirm the fabrics are suitable with your interior scheme prior to placing an order.

Our Decorum Interiors and Luxe Casa luxury cushions & runners are all specially handmade to order for you and are on a 15-20 working day lead time. We ensure the highest level of quality goes into all of our made to order & bespoke cushions, and for this reason we don't like to rush the production. 

No returns, cancellations or exchanges are offered on all made to order & bespoke products once ordered. Visit our Returns Information page for more details.
