Returns Policy

Please thoroughly read our Returns Policy before placing an order, and before making any returns.

When creating an account with us you accept our Terms & Conditions and Delivery & Returns conditions. Returns must strictly be received back by us within 14 days from when you received them to your address, a neighbour, collection point or local depot, in undamaged original packaging and protected by an external box to avoid any damages. Please see our Delivery & Returns page for full information on our Returns Policy. 

Report All Faults / Shortages within 48 Hours: Though great care is taken when packing and dispatching your order, we are not in control of our couriers deliveries. On this basis it is the responsibility of yourself to inspect all goods prior to installation - within 48 hours of receipt of your order to your home or collection point. Even if you do not plan on installing your product(s) within this time we strongly recommend safely opening the product box and checking your order for any cosmetic flaws, damages, non-electrical faults and missing parts.

If you are building and / or renovating we advise you check your item(s) thoroughly before storing to avoid any damages on site. We are not liable after this 48 hour period or after installation.

After 48 Hours: After the 48 hour period these product(s) will not be considered for return or exchange. Decorum Interiors are also unable to offer product exchanges after installation if item is flawed / damaged, and for lighting unless there is an electrical lighting fault to which you are guanrateed for 12 monts from date of receipt.

Product Packaging: Please ensure you keep all product packaging safe while in your posession, do not tear, shred or dispose of as if we need to arrange an exchange or collection the product must be in it's original packaging, undamaged, sealed only with clear tape and unwritten on. 

Outer Packaging: Please place the product box within an external box, or protective packaging in order to protect the product box.

Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed as faulty or incorrect. We recommend using an insured service for added piece of mind. Shipping costs from us, to you on returned orders are deduced from your refund amount.

14 Day Returns: Please ensure all orders are sent back to us in sufficient time to ensure we receive these back to us within 14 days of you receiving the order. to your address, neighbour, collection point or depot.

Business to Business Orders

Orders placed / invoiced under a business name are classed as business customer transaction and follow the Terms and Conditions of sale that apply to transactions between you and us. By purchasing any products (the "Product(s)") and by using this website you acknowledge that you have read and you agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions.

If you are purchasing in the course of business (and not as a consumer), you do not have an automatic right to cancel, return, or receive a refund once we have accepted your order.

We will agree to provide replacements for items that are damaged in transit, provided we are notified at the point of delivery. It is the responsibility of the business customer to thoroughly inspect all goods upon receipt and report any damage, shortages, or faults within 48 hours of delivery.

Faults: Must be reported within 48 hours of receipt

Orders: Business to Business orders are non returnable. Where we agree to accept a cancellation at our sole discretion, a 25% restocking fee will apply.

Promotional Offers

We reserve the right to withdraw any promotion or offer at any given time without written consent. Many of our offers are on for limited time periods and unfortunately we can only honor prices during the periods they are on offer. We reserve the right not to dictate timeframes and to withdraw offers or prices at any point without notice.

During sale events not all brands participate meaning that there will be brand and / or product exclusions. We can not refund items or the difference on items purchased before sale events, nor can we offer credit notes or exchanges.

Discount Codes

We reserve the right to withdraw any discount code offer at any point without notification. Discount codes have exclusions on specific brands and products which can be set by the brand, or by Decorum Interiors.

Discount codes can not be used in conjunction with any other offers, promotions, price drops and sale items.

Decorum VIP Discount codes provided by email are automatically generated and may not be valid for the product you have enquired about. These discount codes have brand and product exclusions. We reserve the right to withdraw any discount code offer at any point without notification.

Price Reductions

We regularly offer a range of price reductions through provision of discount codes and reducing the listed price of items, showing the original price “was” indicated net to the price and / or a percentage saving %. We will always explain the limitations of any offers, such as eligibility criteria. If criteria is not met, even if the purchase was successfully made, we reserve the right to cancel orders where any eligibility criteria has not been met. This may include the invalid combining of offers, promotions or discount codes. In an instance of incorrect pricing being applied to our websites or showroom both before and after you order we reserve the right to adjust the price before you order or cancel your order after your order.

Quotations

If we email you a quotation, this is valid for 14 days and we will hold the offered price for you during that time period. After that time period, the quote will become invalid and we will re-quote or re-invoice, using the current prevailing supply cost of the item and transportation costs, which may go up or down. All quotations are strictly valid for 14 days only.

Contests & Promotions

Contests or similar promotions made available through social media, or business websites or for which business may, from time to time, send e-mail messages to you, will be governed by official rules that are separate from and may vary from these Terms. By participating in any such contests or similar promotions, User will become subject to its specific official rules.

By tagging us in your photos on social media, you approve Decorum to use the image on social media for promotional material across their social media platforms including, Instagram Pinterest, Facebook, Threads, www.decorum-living.com, www.cplights.com, decor-lighting.co.uk, and in printed marketing material. We may at our discretion credit your e-wallet where applicable and if we use the image(s) or video(s) and of course, if you are happy for us to do so.

Lifestyle images are used for styling reference only. For the most accurate representation of this product's finish, size, and design, please refer to the product images shown on a white or grey background. Due to quality variances between different monitors and the use of studio lights, the colour that appears on your screen may differ from the physical product - Please be aware of this when ordering.

Samples: Should you require additional images, samples of a particular finish, or material, please contact us before placing your order! We're happy to pop some in the post where available.

AI Generated Imagery: AI generated content is to be used for reference and inspiration only, this may include variances to finish, proportions, colour and scale - please only refer to the white or grey background product image. if you require additional images to assist you in making a decision, please contact us, we're happy to share any images and videos we have!

Price Match

Though we aim to offer a quality product and professional service as competitive as possible, if you do happen to find the same product for less we'll do our very best to match it for you. There may be occasions where this isn't financially viable for us.

Placing an Order

Place your orders by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors prior to placing your order. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered and including prices where you can also check again.

The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see details below).

Any order placed by you for goods advertised on our website is an offer by you to purchase the goods selected in your order. No contract exists between you and us for the sale of any goods until we have received your order and accepted it (which we may do at our discretion) excluding bespoke & made to order products. Our acceptance of an order takes place when we dispatch the order or send you confirmation by email (please check your junk box for a copy) even if your payment has been processed immediately.

We may refuse at our discretion to accept an order:

(a) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
(b) if there has been a pricing, or product description error; or
(c) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.
(d) where goods ordered by you are not available, out of stock, or obsolete / discontinued.
(e) if we do not deliver to your area or country.

Where we do not accept your order but have processed your payment, we will re-credit your account with any amount deducted by us from your debit or credit card as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to pay any additional amount as compensation for disappointment or any bank charges that are incurred.

Delivery

We will aim to deliver goods ordered by you as soon as possible to the address you provide us for delivery. 

Upon receipt of your order, you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of receiving the delivery then please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter. Items must be checked and faults reported via our Report A Fault form within 48 hours for any damages, after that time it will be assumed the item was delivered in perfect condition and Decorum will not be liable for any claims, flaws, shortages or damages reported after this time frame.

If the goods we deliver are incorrect, or not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we will have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing, at our contact address, or by email to info@decorum-living.com of the problem within 48 hours of the delivery of the goods in question. We shall not accept liability for damage or faults if the item has been shipped / transported onwards from the original shipping address.

We shall deliver the goods to you within the time frame advised on our website www.decorum-living.com. If there are any delays we will update you accordingly by either telephone and / or email. if we do not deliver the goods by the delivery date or the updated date / time frame provided you have the right to cancel your order and we shall return monies paid by you to us under the contract of sale but, notwithstanding , shall have no liability to you for the return of monies or otherwise unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the non-delivery within 14 days from the original or revised delivery date. This excludes bespoke, made to order, personalised, products we have imported (including Richmond Interiors products) or custom made products.

Delivery Charges: Unfortunately, Delivery / Shipping charges are not refundable if you have returned an item to us, the cost of the return is also your responsibility. We recommened using an insured service and a specialist logistics company to ensure your item arrives back to us safely in order for us to issue you a refund in a smooth and timely manor.

Access: Please be aware that it is the customers responsibility to check all room sizes to ensure the products will fit through doorways, corridors, staircases etc. and that the weight of the products are suitable for your property.

Product Packaging: Please ensure you keep all product packaging safe, do not tear, shred or dispose of as if we need to arrange an exchange or collection the product must be in it's original packaging, undamaged, sealed only with clear tape and unwritten on. 

Re-delivery: If our couriers or drivers are unable to find your property on the first instance they will attempt a second delivery (if possible). If after a the first, or possible second delivery attempt is made and your address is still unable to be located by DPD or our other couriers, or our drivers / couriers they will return the item to us. Any additional deliveries after this point will require an additional delivery charge which may be higher than your original delivery cost (if applicable) as incurred to us by DPD / our couriers. Please understand that DPD or our other nominated couriers do not work for Decorum Interiors and as such we do not have immediate contact with their drivers or visibility of their delivery routes. This information can all be tracked by yourself directly using the tracking ID providing in your order dispatch email. You can access delivery information via the DPD website or App.

Import Duty & Associated Fee's

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase from us.

Goods dispatched to other countries outside of the EU may be liable to Import Duty, Taxes or VAT. When ordering from us you agree to pay any such Duties which may be imposed by your country's government, plus any handling charges applied by port authorities and brokers alike.

If you refuse or do not  pay any Import Duty / Tax / VAT imposed and thereby prevent delivery of your order you will remain liable for the purchase price of the product(s) and any Import Duty / Tax / VAT or penalty imposed by your government.

Payment

Payment can be made by any of the payment options advertised on our website. Payment shall be due at the time of placing your order and certainly before delivery. If payment fails your order will be cancelled. There will be no delivery until clear funds have been received by us.

Payment online: Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorized third party to intercept the data. Please be aware that if you are using Klarna or Paypal as your payment method we reserve the right to not ship to an unconfirmed addresses.

Consumer Right of Return & Refund

If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel a contract during the time period set out below. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason you decide you do not want to keep a product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the contract and receive a refund.  We offer a 14 day refund policy on all orders returned to us, at your cost, within 14 days from receipt.

However, in relation to the products we display at www.decorum-living.com, this cancellation right does not apply in the case of: Any bespoke, made-to-measure, made to order, or custom-made products, imported products (including Richmond interiors products) or products made to your specification or clearly personalised.

Business to Business customers, pelase note Consumer Right of Return & Refund does not apply.

Electrical Faults

Please note all fittings that are 1-10v dimming require addition 2 core switch wiring, please seek advice from an electrician.

Please note a qualified electrician must be used to install all lighting purchased from Decorum Interiors, Failing to do so will result in the void in the guarantee.

Decorum Interiros do not cover electrician costs for faulty, damaged, unsuitable items or items that are due to be delivered. Please do not book your electrician or contractor until you have received and thoroughly checked you are happy with your goods. 

Decorum Interiors are not liable for any electricians fee’s incurred for replacing lights, We can, however, submit a claim on your behalf to the manufacturer of the item(s) who may refund your electricians' fee’s at their discretion. Please also note we are unable to offer exchanges on damaged lights once they have been installed. This is not applicable for electrical faults which are within their guarantee period.

Manufacturer Warranty

Manufacturer warranty on electrical products varies from 1-5 year(s) brand depending and coastal ranges up to 10 years (depending on proximity of the coast), please email through the item codes to our sales team if you would like to check a product warranty, some LED products require warranties to be registered after the initial 1 years warranty by you the customer directly on their website.

Please note the finish of outdoor lights is guaranteed for one year except within five miles of the coastline. All lighting has a 1 year guarantee unless stated otherwise

Warranty on furniture can differ on a brannd by brand basis, please contact us should you wish to know furnther information with reagrds to furiture warranties.

Assembly

Please note Majority of furniture, accessories and light fittings will require some assembly and we recommend installation by a contractor or qualified electrician for lighting or confident and capable "handyman" for furniture.

White Glove Delivery Upgrade: Should you wish to upgrade to White Glove delivery, please contact us immediately after purchase and we can provide you with a quotation / price for this service.
